WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Coming together

When we began last week, it seemed that the guidebook would be a lot of work that I just was not ready to do. However as I enter into my second week of project, I am really beginning to enjoy the routine, the freedom, and the creativity we have in the guidebook. One big thing that I has been reinforced through this project is the benefit any planning before hand. One afternoon last week was entirely devoted to planning the layout of the guidebook which has helped decrease the work load and the chaos that could have ensued as a result. We have a meeting almost every day with some organization or institution in Cleveland that can be featured in the guidebook. This experience has really helped build my communication skills and networking skills. Esperanza did not provide us with any specific organizations or connections, therefore Emeline, Nora, and I  had to call and contact all of our places individually. We have met a lot of new people that are willing to meet with us. It really shows how easy it is to accomplish a goal as long as you are willing to take a risk.

Today we spent time writing up some of the features and blurbs on some the places we have already visited. I am still working on getting in contact with certain places such as the Corner Alley and Tri- C for their feature. This will be a really great guidebook in the end.
