WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Day Off

Chambers was closed today due to Memorial Day weekend, so Daijah and I had some off time to prepare for next week and our performance on June 4th. We made adjustments to the plan we created last week for the performance, which includes an introduction, skit, art group (who will talk about Chinese crafts and create a display for the masks, caligraphy, and paper cutting the class worked on), food group (who will talk about the food that we serve at the performance), a closing statement, and two songs. We decided that we will assign students to each group instead of having them volunteer for the sake of time and arguing. We will have one student each for the introduction and conclusion and four students each for the skit, art group, and food group. Lastly, we will have one song leader for each of our songs. 1+1+(4x3)+1+1 = 16.... there's 17 kids...oh whoops we forgot one. So each group will have four students except for the art group. That makes sense because the art group has the additional task of creating some paper cuts for the performance, so it makes sense that that group should have an extra pair of hands. Now, all that’s left to do is assign students to the respective groups based on their strengths and weaknesses.

Here are some pictures from yesterday's calligraphy lesson!
