WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story
Also include images, sounds or video from your project.
# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).
Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.
I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Magazine Adventures
Thursday began with a very rainy and torrential trip to University Circle. With the advent of our magazine, we have to visit various locations in order to feature them in the magazine. We visit Case's admissions where we interviewed the assistant director of undergraduate admissions to see what Case offers for the Greater Cleveland community and Latino's specifically. Also, some time was spent at the Natural History Museum where we took pictures of the facility for our magazine and received information to speak with the director or marketing.
The afternoon was spent at Esperanza helping with their Alumni Reception. In the past few days, I have learned some of the difficulties that arise when trying to maintain a non-profit. During the day when we are actually volunteering there are not a lot of people present, because school is still in session. Esperanza focuses on education and many of their programs do not start until Summer when school has ended. Also, another problems is the lack of volunteers for the program. Emeline, Nora, and I have spent the better part of the last three or four days calling people and organizations to ask for volunteers and support.
Friday morning was spent at Esperanza making phone calls. In the afternoon, we went to the West Side Market to take photos for our magazine and talk with vendors about their involvement in the community.
