WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Happy Memorial Day

Lucky for us, we work at a school so we had Memorial Day off. I do have to admit that I started to miss my students during the long weekend, though. Daijah and I met to develop a plan for this week, create groups for the performance, and create worksheets for tomorrow and Wednesday. It was a very productive day, especially after we got through the difficult task of assigning students to groups. We had to move kids around a lot before we finally decided on the most effective groups for the performance. Actually, selecting students for each group was pretty easy. We know who is good enough to be in the skit, we know who the artists and the leaders are. The hard part came when we were trying to figure out where to put everyone else - the students who can do well in any group. But we're confident with the groups we've selected and hope that Mrs. Wilkerson will feel the same.

Tomorrow's lesson will be a huge review session. We want to review old material before moving on to any new material. My biggest fear is that the students will come back from the long weekend and will have forgotten everything we've learned! On Wednesday we will learn the words for the foods and drinks that will be served at the performance, in addition to the words "eat" and "drink." We've gotten really good at creating worksheets, so we knocked that out in 10 minutes.
