WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Just Peachy

Aloha fellow Clevelanders! It was so nice to spend Memorial Day Weekend in the sunny Hawaiian islands... wait... we weren't in the south-pacific? Cleveland, Ohio you say? Pssh, I don't believe you. We'll agree to disagree.

Wow, I really expected to lead with a better joke. I guess Hump Day is a dastardly humor-thief after all. Now that such a sorry comedic attempt is out of the way, I suppose I can start the epic two-day blog that I had not promised to you, but chose to produce anyway.

While Tuesday morning started with me missing the RTA at Green Road and having to speed down to Shaker Square (THE PIGS WILL NEVER CATCH ME), I really enjoyed my time at the office. I'd have to say that the workday itself was one of my favorites. At 10:30, I sat in on the the weekly team meeting, which is essentially a much more in-depth editorial meeting. I didn't mutter a single word during the assembly, but it was still fun to observe the back and forth banter that occurred.

The day really got going when Brian spent some time with me and we went over pretty much everything regarding the magazine's layout and production. I learned a ton of cool information about things ranging from what type of stock is used during print to which advertisements are the most expensive and why. It was probably the most informative meeting yet.

Tuesday ended with me researching which university's have the most expensive and lavish training facilities per the request of a coworker. As a pseudo intern, I receive some tedious grunt work, but I actually enjoy it most of the time.

On to Wednesday. Here are the highlights: I aided the nutrition editor some Macro counting, which is essentially just tracking down the fats, proteins, and carbs in a variety of different foods. The legend himself, Mr. Breisch, visited and reunited with an old student who doubles as an intern at STACK. And lastly, I left the office for the first time during project and witnessed a photoshoot firsthand. It was a pretty cool day.
