WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Memorial Weekend Work

This year the Chinese-speaking saints at the Church in Cleveland held their annual Memorial Day Conference, inviting people from neighboring churches. People came to Cleveland from Indiana to Pittsburg. While my parents and other saints were listening to the various messages given I was helping out with children's service. My daily schedule for these past three days was helping out from 9 a.m. to noon and then from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Although it was hard watching over seventy kids ranging from middle school to high school I had fun and was able to meet a lot of my friends from different localities.

The two meetings were broken down differently. In the morning, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. was free time as we waited for all the kids to be dropped off. Then, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. there was a little meeting consisting of singing for the first half hour and then an hour of lecture: the first lecture was on unselfishness, the second on relationships, and the third one on giving. After the message there was a light snack, lunch, and relax time until the afternoon. In the afternoon, starting at 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. we waited again for all the kids to be dropped off again. Then from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. there was another lecture. After the lecture was another free time with snacks as we waited for all the children to be picked up.
