WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

I woke up like this!

In this week, I have discovered a few valuable tie bits of information.

1. I am a chef

2. People are crazy (in a good a way)
3. There are a ton of hidden gems in Cleveland
4.  The benefits of pamphlets

1. On Wednesday, everyone was a little tired of the usual monotonous activities of survey checking and phone call making so I decided to ask Adria if there were any other tasks for us. This resulted in Emeline making phone calls, Nora made flyers for Adria, and I cut fruit for the volunteer appreciation dinner. I guess all of the Chipotle skills came in handy. I grabbed my knife, cutting board, bowls, gloves, and cleaning materials to start the tedious job of creating art out of a piece of pineapple and strawberry. At the conclusion of my hour of hard work, I created the Sistine Chapel of fruit. It was and always will be my greatest accomplishment.

2. Emeline, Nora, and I went to Tri-C on Thursday to visit the Hispanic Council. It is an office of two women that serves all of the Cuyahoga Community College Hispanic Students. It was a really pleasant interview, and I learned a lot about what the group does the the Hispanic students at Tri-C. However, I discovered that people were crazy as we left the office. There were two men at the information desk when we went to ask for information about Tri-C as an institution. One man was from Ukraine, while the other man was a Chicago native that focuses on Automotive Education. We spent about 10 minutes talking to these men. In this time, Emeline was denied a delicious cookie, the man from Ukraine danced ad told Emeline he was from Mars, Nora took pictures of the man from Ukraine, the Chicago native told me it was good to be crazy because you're in your own head, and I got a high-five for being equally insane. It was a very productive day.

3. I never knew about the Shaker Lakers or the Nature Center until Tuesday. It was a very beautiful place to visit. We spoke with the manager of media and marketing about the center and all it has to offer for the community. I have intentions to return there again one day when I have more time to explore and enjoy the serenity of the area. It was a very big learning day for me. Also, I got lost in a race to beat Nora and Emeline to the center. It is okay though because they know I am the better driver.

4. We have schedules two interviews this week where the people in charge are extremely incompetent. I do not enjoy wasting my precious gas. We went to two locations where the people i scheduled to talk to were not present at the time. Even though we did not talk to the people we intended on speaking with, we did get some valuable information from some inanimate friends of ours (the pamphlets). I shall remember when I am a professional that making meetings and actually being at the location is an important part of my job, and paying for college was worth it as long as I can do that simple task.
