WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Designing a House

Today we sat in on a weekly meeting involving everyone in the office. This meeting went over all of the projects that the team is working on right now, the status of each project, and how much money each project will bring in. This meeting is supposed to keep everyone on track so that all the little tasks get done and projects get completed. However, this meeting sometimes does not happen because people get so busy trying to meet deadlines. This can create problems because without people checking in on each other, important tasks can slip through the cracks. This happened today when everyone realized that there is a client they were supposed to meet with last week but never did.

Since the end of last week I have been working on designing my own house in Blender. This is giving me a much better feel of this 3D modeling program because I have to solve problems on my own. The biggest problem i have had so far is with the walls. Even though placing walls sounds simple, it has to be done in a certain order or else the house will look strange when you change the colors of the walls. Unfortunately, I found this out the hard way and ended up spending a few hours figuring out how to fix my mistake. My current problem is that I am trying to landscape around the house and I cannot figure out how to make realistic grass. As you can see in the picture below, the grass looks pretty awful.
