The material covered during the morning Bible study classes is prepared by one person, and it was my turn on Thursday. I was assigned the book of Jonah. My five page presentation was structured like this: first page was a summary of the four chapters and my personal thoughts about each chapter, and the other four pages were commentaries from various sources explaining the text. Since I was in charge, the first thing we did was read through all four books. Then after that I went through each chapter, verse by verse, and explained what Jonah was saying in each verse. However, since I only had three hours I was only able to cover three chapters. After Bible class I had the afternoon to myself to catch up on The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel.
Now for a summary of Friday. The day began with me running out and barely beating the 8 a.m. start time for Bible class. In Bible class, we covered the books of Malachi, Micah, and I finished my presentation on Jonah. Then I went home for the afternoon and went to volunteer at a local public school from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. When the last bell rang my day ended, and I, too, rushed out with the little kids.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story
Also include images, sounds or video from your project.
# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).
Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.
I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!
