WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:

# 1. Post a blog 3 times a week (M, W & F) of at least 200 words. In your blogs you could:
-describe something you learned
-explain something that surprised you
-give an update about stuff you're working on
-explain how you solved a problem
-tell a cool story

Also include images, sounds or video from your project.

# 2. Respond thoughtfully to another blogger's posts on this site. Post 1 of these response-blogs per week (200 or more words each).

Each of you is expected to contribute to this blog--even if you're working with another student or with a group.

I'm really looking forward to following your project via your postings! Have fun!

Work on Monday? What's that?

Today is actually my day off, since my sponsor thought it would be bad to overwork me as I have been working from Tuesday to Sunday. But, here is a recap of what happened Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday started off as a normal day. I woke up around 10 a.m. and read the book A Case for Christ. Then, around 5 p.m.  I walked to the Church in Cleveland to help set up for a youth conference happening at 6 p.m. The meeting consisted of only singing and lasted all the way until 8 p.m. and then an extra hour to help set up for the Sunday meeting.

Sunday started really badly. I overslept and woke up around 9 a.m. and had to run to church without any breakfast at all to help set up for the meeting. The Lord's Table, or communion, started around 10 a.m. and lasted until 11 a.m. There was a 15 minute break and the main meeting started around 11:15 a.m. The meeting started off with 15 minutes of singing and then the main message of the day. Paul, a Christian minster, talked about how God always keeps his promises, but waits until all efforts to carry out this promise from humans are exhausted and people have no choice to rely on him. The example used was Abraham and God's promise of a child. This meeting lasted until 12 p.m. Later that night I attended the weekly Aspire meeting run by the Church in Cleveland Heights. Aspire is a nightly meeting featuring art worship segments, lectures, and other presentations. That night my friend, Enoch, shared a message about what the Bible truly says about power. Merriam Webster describes power as the ability or right to control people or things. However, in the gospel of Mark, power is shown as having the ability to bear the cross with Jesus. With this final lecture and hour long clean up, my weekend finally ended at 9:30 p.m.
